Power Apps examples
These are the kinds of app we build in Power Apps, with what goes into each one and where the data usually lives. If your process looks like one of them, it is probably a good fit, and if it does not we are happy to talk it through.
Each of these sits inside your own Microsoft 365, uses Power Automate for anything that needs to happen in the background, and can feed a Power BI report if management need a view across everything.
A checklist on a phone or tablet with pass and fail answers, photos and a signature, saved to SharePoint with a PDF report emailed when it is submitted. Our inspection app is a ready made starting point.
Defects logged with a category, location and photo, routed to the right technician, and tracked through to sign off, with trends reported across sites or vessels.
Requests raised against a budget code, approved by the budget holder and finance in turn, with a full history of who approved what and when.
Equipment, vehicles or IT kit recorded with location, owner and service dates, and reminders sent before anything falls due.
Who has done which course and when it expires, replacing the spreadsheet that one person in HR has to keep up to date.
A short form anyone can fill in on their phone, with the safety team notified straight away and actions tracked to close.
Staff record visits, hours and notes on the move, and the data goes straight into the system that needs it rather than being typed in again on Friday.
Our Patient Handover App is built on Power Apps and gives clinical teams a structured, auditable handover in place of paper notes, on desktop, tablet or phone.
Staff upload a Word or PDF file, Azure AI finds the personal data, and a person approves or changes each redaction before the file goes back to SharePoint.
“We now have instant access to any new defects that are created, greatly increasing our ability to react and deal with defects. The applications have been well received by the crew, which they have found easy to use.”
“Their approach to understanding our organisation, values, goals and challenges, helped them deliver on our brief with excellent communications and support throughout.”

Business apps that capture, track and approve things: inspections, requests, registers, incident reports, timesheets and anything else that currently lives in a spreadsheet, a paper form or a chain of emails. It is not the right tool for a public facing consumer app.
